I've been living in San Diego the last four years now and I'm ashamed to say that I have never been to a CRSSD Festival - until last weekend. When I realized the fest was quickly approaching, I reached out to a friend and was able to obtain a media pass - which is an amazing thing to have if you're a photographer because it allows you to go pretty much anywhere you want to shoot.

Since I wasn't shooting for anyone, I decided that I would shoot part film (thanks Chip Litherland) and part digital. Being that I got to the event about an hour before sunset, I didn't have as much time to photograph as I'd hoped for, but it was still an incredible experience.

I'm sure you'll be able to figure out which images are film and which are digital :)

A Peek Inside the Peterson Home

When I first became friends with one of my good buddies Spencer, I couldn't get over how awesome his home was. I mentioned something two or three times about shooting his home, and because we are both pretty busy people, I never got around to it. A few months back I looked out my window and was stoked on how great the clouds looked (living in San Diego I have gotten used to pretty much zero clouds compared to how awesome the clouds are in the Midwest -- those of you that live in the Midwest will know what I'm talking about), so I gave him a call and convinced him to let finally shoot his home. The light was incredible that day, so I naturally had to snap a few shots of him & his dog. These are a few frames from the day.

I recently took a trip to Detroit, Michigan, to shoot an amazing urban wedding for two of my good college friends. While most of the trip consisted of work, I made sure to set a good chunk of time aside for some personal work & exploration. I met up with two good friends, Joshua Hanford & Robert Hall, and together, we wandered through an abandoned school house and an abandoned church -- both visually stunning.
