I met Tracy & Paul earlier this year and instantly knew that they were my kind of couple. They have absolutely no problem showing emotion, which made photographing them at their wedding *that* much easier. These guys have an awesome alternative style, devoted love, and one heck of an eclectic group of friends, which made for an extremely hilarious (and emotional) ceremony.Read More
Amy & Ian live in New York and wanted an extravagant destination wedding in Mexico. I met these two last year when photographing their family & engagement sessions. These guys dig Mexican food, love to party, and have an awesome taste in friends. Check out a small preview of their extraordinary wedding in Ensenada, Mexico at La Villa Del Valle. PS: I traveled down on a wine tour the previous day, which you can view on my personal blog here.Read More
So much awesome energy, so many extraordinary people, so much emotion. Courtney & Craig's wedding day was a non-stop blast as event after event unfolded. The amazing vintage-themed wedding at Los Willows Wedding Estate in Fallbrook had Courtney and Craig's closest friends and family celebrating their energetic wedding. Here's a small selection of images from the action packed day. PS: Check out their engagement session that was photographed earlier this year at Elfin Forest here.Read More
You know those incredibly small weddings with an insane amount of emotion, energy, and beauty? This was one of them. Although Tais & Alex were already legally married a few months prior, they really wanted to have a small reception with their family and friends to celebrate (and of course some epic portraits in La Jolla too!). After our portrait session, we made our way to the Estancia Hotel where everyone danced their butt off and celebrated this awesome couple's marriage like there was no tomorrow. Check out a small preview of their lovely reception & portrait session.Read More
Can you believe it's almost 2015? The start of the year officially marks my six years as a photographer. A random summary of my year includes photographing over 50 weddings, moving three times, fully refining my photographic style, meeting awesome new friends and clients, and jumping ship from Canon to Nikon. I wish everyone all a successful 2015 and can't wait to see what the future holds. Take a minute to scroll through this massive year in review and let me know what you think!Read More
After photographing Lien & Jon's epic two day engagement session (which can be found here), I knew their wedding would be just as fun. Lien is extremely creative and thrifty, so she took the time to not only hand-make every single decoration, but she also designed her own wedding dress too! This stylish and fun DIY wedding took place at a lovely mountain center in Altadena, CA. With deer running around the grounds, a hot sun above our heads, and a wild wedding party, this wedding was a blast to attend and photograph. Check out a few images from throughout the day.Read More
I photographed Natasha & Steve's engagement session (which can be seen here) a couple of month's ago and instantaneously fell in love with them. Natasha has an awesome style and loves photography, while Steve's from Ohio, and because I love photography & am from the Midwest as well, we naturally got along great. I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous venue, as anything and everything was photogenic at all times of day. To top it off, the couple gave me full creative freedom to do what I want, so I was practically in heaven. Here's an epic preview of their gorgeous vintage wedding at the Green Gables Estate in San Marcos!Read More
First off, what a fantastic wedding! After photographing Nicole & Tales' lovely engagement session in May (that can be viewed here), I knew their wedding would be a blast. We started off the day at the South Mesa Lodge Hotel and made our way to the Marine Memorial Golf Course in Camp Pendleton, where the ceremony and reception were held. And the best part? The lush, green golf course made everything photogenic! Here is a small preview of their sunny summer wedding.Read More
I absolutely loved this elegant wedding set in downtown Carlsbad at the Carlsbad Seapointe Resort. Kristin & Chris were naturals in front of the camera, so of course these photos came out stunning! The gorgeous outdoor reception took place at Pelican Point in Carlsbad, which was right across the street from the venue, so it gave us extra time for some awesome beach photos at sunset. Here are a few images from their spectacular wedding!Read More
I was referred to Naima & Alessandro by a local photographer out of Austin, Texas, and decided that it would be an absolute blast to photograph their reception. The entire day was storming terribly, so we shot most of the photographs indoors and got a few in the courtyard of 5226 Elm. We then went to another home for an after party.
I met Heather and Bob a few months ago when they were referred to me by a mutual photographer friend -- I knew they were going to be an awesome couple by our first meeting. Heather and bob are absolutely perfect for each other, and every single attendee at their lovely wedding knew it! Their ceremony ended right as the darkness started to settle, so we had to improvise for a few fun formal photos around the awesome venue. Enjoy!Read More
